Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Intrusive thoughts don't define who you are.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is often misunderstood. OCD isn't simply liking things neat or organized. It's a condition that can cause distressing intrusive thoughts, unwanted images, uncertainty, and compulsive behaviors that temporarily reduce anxiety.
Many people with OCD worry that their thoughts say something terrible about who they are.
They don't.
Whether your OCD involves checking, contamination fears, relationship doubts, intrusive harm thoughts, religious scrupulosity, perfectionism, or mental compulsions, you deserve compassionate support without judgment.

My Approach
Therapy focuses on helping you better understand the OCD cycle while reducing the power intrusive thoughts have over your life.
We'll build tolerance for uncertainty, decrease compulsive behaviors, and develop healthier ways of responding to anxiety rather than becoming trapped in repetitive cycles.
Every step happens collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable.
If OCD has been running your life, therapy can help you begin taking it back. Medication is often an effective part of OCD treatment, and I am happy to provide referrals to medication management providers as well as collaborate with providers as needed to best support individuals.
